Business Development Manager

The Manager of Business Development is responsible for sourcing, securing, managing and growing partnership opportunities to complement Aible and accelerate its growth goals.

Job Duties

  • Support the Vice President of Business Development to execute and expand our partnership strategy.
  • Meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Understand the win/win value proposition for each party and be able to communicate it to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Developing and communicating requirements for a successful partnership.
  • Manage the successful integration, onboarding, and launch of new partnerships.
  • Drive the enablement of partners to source and close sales opportunities and provide post sale support.
  • Co-management of our growing partnership relationships to:execute upon existing strategic partnership plans, and develop new, mutually beneficial partnership plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, sales & marketing on successful partnership plan execution.
  • Contacting prospective partners and responding to inbound partnership inquiries to qualify the opportunities.
  • Attend events as a representative of Aible.


  • Experience in:
    • Conducting business at the executive level and with global partners.
    • Generating revenue through partnerships.
    • Collaborating within and across teams to achieve specific goals within a defined schedule.
    • Reviewing & negotiating legal documents (e.g. typical partnership agreements, MNDA’s, etc.)
      • Have worked with legal teams to successfully negotiate & close deals with balanced terms.
    • Complex project management.
  • Candidate must have:
    • A positive, entrepreneurial attitude, and be self-directed, resourceful, and able to identify and overcome barriers to achieving goals.
    • Generating revenue through partnerships.
    • An ability to formulate a partnership vision, strategy and execution plan.
    • A technical ability to understand software and recognize areas for valuable product integration, discuss & influence product roadmaps, and engage with product managers.
    • The ability to drive successful outcomes with internal colleagues and external partners/customers.
    • A passion and ability to work with prospective partners to conceptualize, structure, close and execute upon a new partnership engagement, and able to support existing partners to make them and Aible as successful as possible.
  • A demonstrated ability to run at start-up speed, operating during start-up hours with global partners, and comfort in operating in a hyper-growth, start-up environment.
  • Strong presentation & communication skills and an ability to translate product capabilities into partner/customer value.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects & priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-drive, detail orientation, and business acumen.
  • A passion for technology, innovation, and the start-up culture.
  • A BS/BA (preferred in in engineering, computer science or similar)
  • Experience in business development, alliances, and partnerships at a leading, dynamic technology innovator.
  • Start-up & AI, analytics or business intelligence industry experience preferred.


  • The Manager of Business Development will report directly to the Vice President of Business Development, and collaborate with the majority of the Aible team to some degree.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
